A E Jones copper and silver vases

Description

A pair of patinated copper and silver vases made by A E Jones, circa 1910.

The vases both have their original dark chocolate patina. They have silver banding around the base and three silver flowers to the sides. The silver banding is riveted to the vase.

The design and the silver banding are typical of Jones mixed metal pieces from around 1910. The bases of both vaseshave the design number, 2483A, which is also typical of Jones pieces. This design number suggests that this design was originally made by Jesson, Birkett and Co and continued by A E Jones Ltd.
