Gordon Russell copper bowl

Description

A rare copper bowl with cast legs designed by Gordon Russell in 1924.

The bowl has a simple decoration to the rim and three cast scrolled feet which are riveted to body. Slight variations of this design were made by Gordon Russell as can be seen in the catalogue image.

The bowl is unmarked but this design appears in the catalogue of metalwork held by the Gordon Russell Museum. Made in various sizes and with slightly differing designs of feet. The slight variation on design, No. 174, dates to 1924 and was most likely made at the Russell Workshops.

A very rare piece designed by Gordon Russell and in great, original condition.
