Faulkner Bronze Co copper trays

Description

Two small copper trays attributed to the Faulkner Bronze Co, circa 1900.

The Faulkner Bronze Co showed one of these designs in their catalogue and the tray was made in various sizes. This size would most likely have been used for ash trays. The two designs differ slightly and would likely both have been made by Faulkner Bronze or Jesson Birkett & Co  who continued to make some of the Faulkner Bronze Co’s designs after 1904.

Hand planished, made of a good gauge of copper and nicely patinated. One is unmarked and the other has “H.F.” inscribed to the underside which I suspect was the owner of the tray at some stage.
