A small brass pen tray made by Alexander Ritchie, circa 1910.

A very nicely made brass pen tray with repousse decoration which can only be attributed to the work of Alexander Ritchie of Iona. Many of the motifs in this design can be found in the work of Alexander and Euphemia Ritchie illustrated in the book “Iona Celtic Art” by E. Mairi MacArthur.

In great condition with lovely crisp repousse work.
