Norman & Ernest Spittle fire dogs
Description
A set of iron and copper fire dogs made by Norman and Ernest Spittle, circa 1901.
A lovely example of the types of fire dogs being designed by the firm of Norman and Ernest Spittle at this time. This design is pictured in their early catalogue (Design Number 4172) and dates to around 1901. It’s highly likely these were designed by Norman Spittle who was the firms primary designer at this time.
In great condition with a nice patina on the copper sections.
