Birmingham Guild of Handicraft coffee pot
Description
A copper and brass coffee pot made by the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft, circa 1920.
This rather handsome coffee pot by the Guild of Handicraft is an early design by Arthur Stansfeld Dixon. It is made of a slightly hammered flared copper body and domed lid. The handle and the knob on the lid are made of brass.
Although this is an early design (No. 4 in the Birmingham Guild catalogue) this particular example is marked to the base with “The Birmingham Guild of Handicraft Limited, England” which dates it to post World War I.
This is a great example and the condition is very good with a wonderful patina and only very minor scuffs.
