D.S.C.G. copper and silver cigarette box

Description

A copper and silver cigarette box made by the Duchess of Sutherland Cripples Guild, circa 1910.

The square copper lid is set with with four silver rosettes and a central silver circle, all enclosed within a simple repousse design. The inside of the box is cedar wood lined.

The larger version of this cigarette box appears in the showroom catalogue from around 1910. The base of the box is marked with the normal D.S.C.G. below a ducal coronet.
