Birmingham Guild of Handicraft finger plates
Description
Two rare copper finger plates made by the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft, circa 1900.
The two copper finger plates are slightly different in terms of their design and I believe these are quite rare examples probably designed by Arthur Stansfeld Dixon. They are both fully marked “BGH” which dates them to pre-World War I.
The two designs appear in an early catalogue by the firm (Design Numbers 21 and 19 respectively).
In great original condition with a nice patina.
