A silver buckle set with amethysts made by A E Jones in 1908.

The buckle is an early and rare design by Jones. The use of amethysts at this time is quite unusual. As expected, both pieces of the buckle are hallmarked for Birmingham, 1908. One side is stamped with Jones’s makers mark.

A small but perfectly formed and very attractive piece.
