Norman and Ernest Spittle copper charger

A copper charger attributed to Norman and Ernest Spittle, circa 1900.

A copper charger with repousse design of hearts and berries. The design is near identical to one shown in the Norman and Ernest Spittle catalogue produced in 1900. A similar design is also shown in an advert for Art Fittings Ltd shown in The Studio magazine in 1902.

In fact, this charger has a link to the American Arts and Crafts designer and maker, Gustav Stickley. Read more..
