Yattendon School copper vase

Description

A two handled copper vase made by the Yattendon School, circa 1900.

This is a known design by the Yattendon School with a repousse pattern of abstract flowers. The design featured in the Home Arts and Industries Exhibition of 1896 and was illustrated in The Studio 1896, Volume 8, Page 91.

This is the only vase of this design which I have seen in many years of collecting so I suspect it is quite a rare Yattendon School piece. There is some writing in pen to the base but unfortunately I’m unable to make out a signature.
