D.S.C.G. silver plated fruit bowl

Description

A large silver plated fruit bowl made by the Duchess of Sutherland Cripples Guild, circa 1910.

The hand planished bowl has a fruiting vine design in repousse. The underside of the bowl is marked with the D.S.C.G. makers mark.

Although this particular fruit bowl design is not illustrated in the D.S.C.G. catalogue from around 1910, it was included in a loose photograph that came with an archive of material from the Trentham Estate workshops.
