C.F.A Voysey design brass handles

Description

A pair of cast brass door handles designed by C.F.A. Voysey and made by Thomas Elsley Ltd, circa 1895.

These handles were designed by Charles Francis Annesley Voysey and made by the firm of Thomas Elsley Ltd at their Portland Metal Works in London. They were likely made at some time between 1890 and 1900. 

Both handles are stamped with “Elsleys”. They appear in an early catalogue of metal work designs by Voysey for Thomas Elsley’s. The handles can be seen in the top left hand corner of the display cabinet, design number 690.
