Francis Cargeeg copper and brass tray
A hand worked square copper tray with signature brass swirls, made by Francis Cargeeg, circa 1940.
Francis Cargeeg is known to have only made a handful of designs as he wanted to perfect his technique on a few items. This tray was made in various sizes.
The piece is not marked but done has some pen marks to the underside and possibly a signature. Francis tended not to mark his trays with the Treskele used on larger, more decorative, pieces.
Dimensions: 15 1/2″ square by just over 1/2″ deep
Condition: Good. Some red stains to the patina
