A silver plated clock with cast silver rams head legs made by A E Jones Ltd, circa 1920.
The body of the clock is held on four solid silver legs with cast rams heads at the top of each leg and paw feet at the bottom. An original french clock movement is housed within a silver plated drum. The clock is, I believe a seven day movement and keeps good time.
I have sold a clock with Jones’s “St Dunstan” label which had the same cast rams heads and it is well documented that A E Jones limited made over 80 designs of clock! This an elegant design which probably dates to around 1920. The underside of the drum section has a typical Jones design number stamp, “1781”.
