A E Jones silver spoon
Description
A small silver spoon made by A E Jones Ltd in 1906.
This small spoon is beautifully made and in great condition. It is fully hallmarked for A E Jones, Birmingham, 1906. The spoon is very much in the early Arts and Crafts style with a planished bowl which has a “rat tail” join to the stem. The end of the spoon is decorated with a simple design of three joined leaf shapes which is very reminiscent of Bernard Cuzner designs. Bernard Cuzner worked with Jones in the early years and the firm exhibited some of his designs at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society exhibitions.
