Description
A hand planished silver belt buckle made by the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft. Fully hallmarked for the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft, Birmingham, 1900. This design is often attributed to the Guildsman, Arthur Fowler. This buckle is shown in the book; By Hammer & Hand, The Arts & Crafts Movement in Birmingham, Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery, edited by Alan Crawford, 1984, p.100, pl.78.
