A copper cigarette box made by J & F Pool, circa 1905.

The box is cedar wood lined and copper clad with very attractive Art Nouveau repousse designs to all sides and a riveted construction. The lid  has a ball finial and the body sits on four ball feet. The entire box has the characteristic hand planishing marks used by J & F Pool of Hayle in Cornwall.

This particular cigarette box appears in the J & F Pool catalogue dating to around 1905 (Design No. 8214) illustrated. It’s in fantastic overall condition with an original patina.
