Bernard Cuzner silver belt buckle with Ruskin

Description

A small silver belt buckle set with a Ruskin ceramic roundel by Bernard Cuzner. Fully hallmarked for Bernard Cuzner, Birmingham, 1904. Cuzner registered his own makers mark in 1902 making this an early and rare example of his work. Examples of similar buckles with interlacing silver work were shown in Volume 36 of The Studio, 1906.

Condition:   In good condition. This is a small black mark on the Ruskin roundel which I have been reliably informed is a “blow hole” from the original firing
